The word is getting around that I’m leaving, and it’s creating a bit of a stir. My neighbor across the road I haven’t spoken to in 6 months drove up in my yard to say hi Saturday. He’s not rude or anything, our paths just don’t cross. I sorta thing the neighborhood will be [...]

I have created a lolspeaker! Lolspekr: I haz 1. Flea, bless her, tried to resist, but she was sucked into the void last night. Really, I kinda stood at the edge and pushed, but she let go pretty quickly for somebody who loathes the things.
She sent some pics of her cows Fred and Bessie and [...]

WOOT! Flea gave me an award! Nobody’s ever done that before. I am special, if only for today! Only problem is, I don’t know how to play around with my stylesheet so I can put a badge in the sidebar. I know it must be easy, but for now, I’ll just put the thing in [...]

We had some excitement here yesterday! I went on my merry way to teach a few lessons and go to church, and I came home to some loud, LOUD squeaking in the kitchen:
I was so happy they finally arrived, and in the box I had prepared for mama! She didn’t seem to have much [...]

Well, my land has a buyer. He should be here in a couple of weeks with a binder and a down payment. I didn’t get my highest price, but I got my must-have price. That means I can officially get approved for a loan and talk to a Realtor. WooHoo!!
Holy cow, this thing [...]

Early this morning all heck broke out in my yard. Cats were scrambling for the cat door and dogs were barking like crazy. I checked on things and hoped the eventual silence meant everybody was ok, but I was wrong. My little Vicki, my biker chick kitty, was dead. I found her this afternoon, [...]

Cyndi cracks me. Aside from her delusion that she has the cutest cat on the planet (clearly, that is MY trophy to claim), she’s just smart, and she “gets” me. We spend our evenings hooked together on Yahoo chat, and every few minutes or so she tosses in a pearl. The “he” in this conversation [...]

So. Today we buried another of my friends, on this, the anniversary of my own mother’s death. The service was everything he wanted it to be: full of joy, celebrating his life, praising his Savior. Back in December he asked me to play a medley of upbeat songs when the time came, and I did. [...]
