Step One: Check!

Well, my land has a buyer. He should be here in a couple of weeks with a binder and a down payment. I didn’t get my highest price, but I got my must-have price. That means I can officially get approved for a loan and talk to a Realtor. WooHoo!!
Holy cow, this thing is gonna happen.
I don’t know whether to dance or crap my pants with fear. Maybe a little of both.

OK, the dishwasher proved to be a teeny bit problematic. I got the old one out and the new one in with no trouble, but the hooking up of the water and the thing and the stuff? Not so much. My uncle, God bless him, installed the old one. He also built the cabinet it’s in and ran the water lines that supply it. He sorta remodeled for my mom before she died, only…well, that’s a long story, and not interesting at all. In the end it left me with less than abiding love for him, and every time I have to fix something he installed, I just get angry. You know, the holes in the wall that he hid behind the washer, where the BUGS and MICE were coming in, stuff like that? This water-line thing is no exception , and it has left me at the doorstep of option #2, waiting for the friend to come over. I hope he has a simple fix. I need spoons.
Gee. I read that and have no idea what I said. In case that paragraph was unintelligible to you, too, and you are curious about what I MEANT to say, the problem is the location of the hot water supply line. He put it in the wrong cabinet. I can’t get to the cutoff valve to turn the water on when the washer is in place, and because the supply line isn’t flexible, I can’t just turn it on and THEN push the unit in place. It’s also copper: cpvc I could probably just reroute, but copper requires “sweating” and “solder” and “torches” and stuff. Thassa lotta trouble.
So. I await advisement. I am gonna be in such trouble when I move, cuz my friend is my handyman.
Maybe the new place won’t need one. Sheesh.
Hey! Did you hear? I’m gonna move!!

YAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!! Yeah, definitely find a place that doesn’t need a handyman! You are gonna LOVE being someplace else! I am SOOO Excited for you!!!
