In less than 8 hours I’ll be headed down the concrete highway to Hotlanta. Woot? WOOT! Um, yeah. I got nuthin’ done music-wise this week. Between kids and house hunting and making offers and packing, I did squat. I guess if those people have waited 8 months for my stuff, they can wait one more.
OK. The good news.
1. One of the kids has been adopted – the little girl with a white stripe on her face. I just named her Flower today because I suddenly realized she looks like the little skunk in Bambi. The name was just for me, though. She never heard it. She was so scared when I left her, which broke my heart, but I know she’s gone to a good home. They’ll love her a lot. That helps.
2. I have a contract on a house! I offered, they countered, I offered, they accepted. Quick, fast, and in a hurry, it was. So. Now to the packing and the selling of my own place. WHEW. I am actually a little excited. I am usually afraid to get excited over anything. I act like a little girl and make myself look stupid, then something happens and whatever I was happy about dies a loud, gasping death. Forgive me if I don’t hop up and down, but I’m waiting for that second shoe. God willing, it will not land near me.
I suppose that’ll all the news that’s fit to print at the moment. Y’all have a great weekend, and I’ll write when I get back!
Later!
Hey! You changed your format! See, you’ve been busy.
You are too old for the second shoe to drop! This is exciting, a new house! The only shoe dropping will be you not packing. 🙂 So I’m coming out to help, right? I only wish. new job starts Monday. Have fun in New York City!
Format? Changed? Um… *scratching head* I’m sure it was an accident if I did… LOL
